PARKER VACUMATIC Fountain Pen

Circa 1935.  Colour: Laminated green pearl.  Nib: 'Fine'.

Stunning in its design and colours.  This is a 1st generation 'Vacumatic' as evidenced by its double jewels and the lockdown ink filling mechanism..and the date engraved on the barrel: 35.  The clip is of the arrow feather design.   Trim is gold filled.  Cap has a jewel and three gold bands.   The barrel is engraved with: ", VACUMATIC, PAT NO 318982, OTHER PATENTS PENDING, 35".  The aforementioned 35 dates the pen to the third quarter of 1935.  The nib is engraved: "14K, PARKER VACUMATIC, REG TM, Made in Canada".  This is a two tone nib i.e. all gold but with a Platinum ( silver ) mask over part of the nib.  Filling is by the plunger beneath the short blind cap.  14 carat solid gold 'fine' nib.  The pen glides over the paper.  Excellent condition.  Length: 4 7/8" - 6"
