CONWAY STEWART 58
Fountain Pen
Circa 1949. Colour: Executive
black. Nib: 'Medium'.
|
|
This fountain pen was from the
top-of-the-range pens and one of the first pens of this
model produced as evidenced by the barrel imprint which
has No. 58 on the second line. It has a black peaked
top and washer clip which is engraved "CS" for Conway
Stewart together with three gold bands which decorate
the cap. The clear barrel imprint, reads: "The Conway
Stewart, No. 58" with: "Made in England" around the
barrel. The CS nib has an engraving which reads:
"Conway Stewart, 14ct GOLD, 58". The 14 carat gold nib
writes with a 'medium' line. Ink filling is by the
gold lever on the barrel which also has the CS logo.
Trim is rolled gold. Exceptionally smooth and glossy
body. Near mint condition. Wonderful
writer. Length: 5 1/8" - 6 1/4".
