CONWAY STEWART 58
Fountain Pen
Circa 1951. Colour: Stately black. Nib: 'fine'.
|
|
This fountain pen was from the
top-of-the-range pens (i.e. the 60 and 58) both of which had the superb DURO
nib. It has a black peaked top and washer clip which
is engraved "CS" for Conway Stewart together with three
gold bands which decorate the cap. The clear barrel
imprint, reads: "The Conway Stewart 58, Made in
England". The DURO nib has an engraving which reads:
"DURO, Conway Stewart, 14ct GOLD". The 14 carat gold
nib writes with a 'fine' line. Ink
filling is by the gold lever on the barrel which also
has the CS logo. Trim is rolled gold. Wonderfully
smooth and glossy body. Excellent condition. With the
top of the range DURO nib giving real writing comfort.
Length: 5 1/8" - 6 3/8".
