This rare Pelikan 400
was produced in 1952 and the model was an immediate success for Pelikan.
The cap end has the Pelikan logo and the clip design is of a Pelikan
beak. Ink filling is by the piston which moves by twisting the barrel end. Smooth and glossy body. The
engraving on the barrel:
"PELIKAN 400, Gunther Wagner, Germany" and on the barrel
end is the engraving "B" for 'broad' nib. Solid gold 14
carat 'broad' nib. Writes like a charm. Excellent condition. Length: 5" -
5 3/4"
