PARKER 51 Fountain
Pen
Circa 1952, Colour: Executive black. Nib: 'Fine' to
'Medium'.
|
A revolutionary and classic
fountain pen with Art-Deco overtones. From the side, the silhouette of the shell and barrel
resemble a streamlined ( minature ) jet-fighter without wings. The
choice of the name '51' came from the research on the '51' which was
concluded in 1939, Parker's 51st anniversary. The cap end is fitted
with a light grey tassie. The cap is brushed steel. Ink
filling is by the aerometric filler. Smooth and glossy body. The
engraving on the cap reads: "PARKER" and on the barrel:
"PARKER, Made In England". Solid gold 14 carat 'fine' to
'medium' nib. Wonderful writer. Condition is excellent. Length: 5 1/2" - 6"
"Never
before a pen so completely satisfying."
