Fountain Pen
Circa 1935. Colour: Blue pearl and black. Nib:
'Medium'
|
Wyvern was a small manufacturer, originally from Leicester, which
was popularised by HM The Queen who used to give her staff a Wyvern
pen. The 81 was made in two forms - this one is the larger of
the two. The clip is of a geometric design and the cap has two gold
bands. Trim is rolled gold. Clear imprint on barrel which reads:
"WYVERN, PERFECT PEN, No.81, Made in England". Ink filling is by
the gold lever on the barrel. The original nib reads: "WYVERN,
14ct, PERFECT PEN, Osmiridium". Solid gold 14 carat 'medium' nib.
Writes with a graceful and smooth medium nib. Condition is
excellent. Superb fountain pen. Length: 5 1/4" - 6 1/8"
