A
revolutionary and classic fountain pen. From the side, the
silhouette of the shell and barrel resemble a streamlined minature
jet-fighter without wings. The choice of the name '51' came from the
research on the '51' which was concluded in 1939, Parker's 51st
anniversary. The clip has the wording: "PARKER" along with the 'Blue
Diamond' which was Parker's guarantee of quality. The cap end
is fitted with a light grey tassie. The cap is gold filled.
Smooth and glossy body. The engraving on the cap reads: "1/10 16K
GOLD FILLED, PARKER, Made in USA". Around the barrel is: "PARKER 51,
Made in USA, .8.". Ink filling is by the plunger beneath the
blind cap on the barrel. Solid gold 14 carat 'fine' to 'medium' nib.
Smooth and graceful writer. Condition is excellent. Length: 5 7/16"
- 6"
"Never before a pen so completely satisfying."
