In
the 1920's Mentmore produced pens largely for the wholesale market
however in the 1930's they began to produce high quality pens for
the consumer market. The clip is elaborate and stylish. The
cap also has one gold band. Trim is rolled gold. The engraving on
the barrel reads: "MENTMORE, AUTOFLOW, PAT APP FOR". Ink filling is
by the button beneath the blind cap on the barrel. The nib is
engraved with: "MENTMORE, OSMI, IRIDIUM, 14ct GOLD". Solid gold 14
carat 'medium' nib. The nib glides over the paper. Condition is
excellent. Length: 5" - 6 1/4"
