Mentmore may have been a lesser English manufacturer but they
produced a very good quality of pens which are comparable with
Parker - solid, feel good in the hand and yet light to gently stroke
the paper with the nib. The domed cap top which holds the gold clip
which has the engraving of "M". A single gold band adorns the cap.
Trim is rolled gold. The light imprint on the barrel is: "MENTMORE
DIPLOMA, Made in England". Ink filling is by the gold button
beneath the blind cap on the barrel. The nib which is engraved
with: "JEWEL, 14ct SUPER" is 14 carat gold and writes with a
'medium' line. Condition is excellent. Smooth writer.
